- Accident
Analysis & Prevention, provides wide coverage of the general areas
relating to accidental injury and damage, including the pre-injury and
immediate post-injury phases. Published papers deal with medical, legal,
economic, educational, behavioral, theoretical or empirical aspects of
transportation accidents, as well as with accidents at other sites.
- American Medical Association
(AMA) Publications Web site - Access to JAMA table of contents, abstracts of major
manuscripts, Medical News & Perspectives, and a search function.
- American Journal of Epidemiology -
Access to AJE table of contents and abstracts of articles.
- Annals of Emergency Medicine,
official publication of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
- Index to Risk: Health, Safety &
Environment, Journal, from Franklin Pierce Law Center.
- Injury Issues Monitor, a
periodical published by the National Injury Surveillance Unit, Australian Institute of
Health and Welfare.
Injury Prevention (IP), from the British
Medical Journal Publishing (BMJ) group. The editors and publishers of Injury
Prevention have decided to expand its scope and now welcomes papers dealing
with all age groups, as well as the epidemiology of injury. It also provides international coverage and is
highly interdisciplinary.
- Journal of Accident & Emergency Medicine
(formerly Archives of Emergency Medicine) is a leading international journal of
developments and advances in emergency medicine.
- Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report
(MMWR) home page.
- NCHS Advance Data, the official
publication of the CDC National Center for Health Statistics
- New England Journal of Medicine On-line
- Safety Science Monitor A new scientific electronic
journal established by the Institute for Human Safety and Accident Research (IPSO
Australia), the Scientific Committee on Accident Prevention (SCOAP) within the
International Commission on Occupational Health, the Safety Institute of Australia
(SIA).
- Sports Medicine.
- Wheeless' Textbook of Orthopaedics, an example of

- Pubmed
is the National Library of Medicine's search service that provides access to
over 10 million citations in MEDLINE, PreMEDLINE, and other related
databases, with links to participating online journals.
- Medline Injury Research Assistant (MIRA)
-MIRA is an aid to conducting up-to-date online MEDLINE searches on many injury prevention
topics. It is intended for use by persons with little or no experience with
searching the medical literature or for students and others to quickly obtain access to
key published topical resources. MIRA is not a substitute for a professional level
literature review, rather it serves as a starting point for more in depth work. (Note this
is a concept under development, not all links will work)

- CDC State Health Dept Search
- TRIS Online is hosted by the
National Transportation Library as a cooperative effort between the Bureau
of Transportation Statistics and the Transportation Research Board. More
than 400,000 books, journal articles, and technical reports on
transportation research from the 1960's to the present can be accessed.
